Create your own reference labels
If you do not currently have or use Barcode/QR codes, but use "on the go" referencing, we may be able to help you with QR code labels!
There are just those situations where you cannot 'follow' a leading system, but have to make up your unique file references as you go. Well... We can help there!
Using Cargosnap, you can make your own labels, which you can print onto sticker labels**.
These labels are each unique and can be used to start a Cargosnap file (using the barcode scanner). Just take one label and stick it on a Loading list, Bill of Lading, or other document that guides your employees through their operations. Easy!
To do so, go to: https://platform.cargosnap.com/labels/. Then, the way it works:
-
Set an optional prefix (like “CS-“ )
-
Set a mask if you need leading 0’s (e.g. to get a number like 0001)
-
Set the starting number (number of the first label)
-
Pages: the number of pages you would like to print (max 20 per print)
-
Load the labels in your laser printer and click "print"
These labels are scanned with the barcode scanner:
And then will become the file reference under which you can find the information back:
** Right now this is set up for HERMA 4607 labels with 64 stickers per sheet (order on Amazon.de); but let us know if those are unavailable to you, and we can set a different format.
